Procrastination Part II
My last post was/is so true! when you put things off, nothing gets done. I have been busy completing other activities, instead of keeping up with my blog. I've decided to include the progress of my projects on the blog to keep me accountable and move me on my way.
My current projects include sorting the papers in several boxes from my office from 10 years ago mixed in with family papers and cards from the last 10 years. I'm about half way done with the papers.
This year I have chosen to get help with some of my projects. I've enlisted the help of Kathi Burns of Add Space to Your Life to dig myself out from all of these papers. She has helped me to put the keepers in a filing system. We are using Freedom Filer and I am learning how to manage the papers I have and stem the tide of the papers coming into the house.
She's also introduced me to the Evernote app. It's now on my Samsung phone, my PC and my Ipad Mini. I've just scratched the surface on the power of this app. In the past I would have piles of clippings and no way to usefully file them. Now I can upload to Evernote and find the info in a moment.
I am also concentrating on my health. I became aware that my bones are thinning. I have heard that weight training builds bone. So I decided to get a personal trainer. I had previously started walking 10,000 steps daily. I often walk around my extended neighborhood, finding things and places nearby that I didn't know were there.
I happened upon Kalfit. I spoke with Kip and Aliya about their philosophy. They explained a healthy eating plan, a progressive fitness program that includes activities I do on my own as well as workouts I perform under the watchful eyes of the coaches Kip and/or Aliya. I especially appreciate the thorough warm ups and cool downs that use yoga positions and transitions. Aliya has me doing things I didn't know I could do and she has me doing things longer than I would have on my own. Every time I go for a workout, they have a new routine routine for me.
I have a few more projects going, but I'll save those for a later post.
